Zoobean's flagship service is Beanstack, a software that facilitates reading programs for libraries and schools, making it easy to track independent reading and stay motivated to read.

The company was founded in 2013 by Google's former head of K​-12 education and Washington, DC's former "Teacher of the Year"​. Zoobean's founders appeared on ABC's Shark Tank in 2014 and received an investment from Mark Cuban. Today, Zoobean’s web application and mobile app are licensed by over 1,000 public libraries and schools in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
