Sales Development Representative

• Work across Newsela’s Sales organization to support growth by researching, prospecting through calls and emails, and qualifying leads.
• Respond to inbound inquiries and conduct proactive cold outreach to potential new customers.
• Provide online product demonstrations to draw prospects into initial discovery calls and identify key needs.
• Collaborate within the Sales organization to inform strategy and process that enhances sales performance.
• Represent the future of education as the initial point of contact with prospects.
• Provide market feedback to drive future product enhancements.

• 1+ year of lead generation or inside sales experience.
• Pipeline generation experience including engaging prospects through email and phone conversations.
• Leveraging Salesforce.com experience and sales process training.
• Familiarity with sales platforms such as Salesloft, Outreach.io, or Yesware.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to empathize with challenges faced by buyers.
• Ability to establish clear value propositions that connect buyer needs to products.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and use creativity to ensure flawless execution.

Pay range: $55K - $80K
