Open to all applicants globally!
Family Equality Council has an opening for a part-time Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our Communications Team, starting in April 2019.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator position will provide marketing and communications support to the Family Equality Council program team, which provides educational resources and events for existing LGBTQ-headed families and a wide range of LGBTQ people interested in forming families, with a focus on those most impacted by systemic and institutionalized oppression nationwide.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Program Officer and their staff to develop and implement diverse and inclusive multi-channel marketing plans for educational offerings, including digital resources, online trainings, and in-person events.
All candidates must have a “can do” attitude, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and be highly organized without losing sight of larger objectives.
Family Equality Council is a remote workplace, with employees distributed across the country. As such, the Digital Marketing Coordinator may work remotely, so long as their location affords reliable phone service and high-speed internet access. While eligible for federal benefits such as Social Security and Worker’s Compensation, as a part-time, hourly position, this position does not qualify for Family Equality Council’s medical and dental benefit package or paid time off.
Family Equality Council provides a team-based environment and we value the benefits of a diversified workplace. Women, people of color, transgender individuals and members of other underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply.
Founded in 1979, Family Equality Council’s mission is to advance legal and lived equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) families, and for those who wish to form them, through building community, changing hearts and minds, and driving policy change.
We envision a future where all LGBTQ families, regardless of creation or composition, live in communities that recognize, respect, protect, and value them. We envision a world in which everyone has the right and should have the opportunity to form and sustain a loving family, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, national origin, geography, socioeconomic status, disability, or the intersection of those characteristics. Finally, we envision systems of service and support that are free of discrimination and that maximize opportunities for youth needing permanency and LGBTQ adults seeking family formation.
