About the Role

Do you enjoy working closely with product managers, front-end engineers, and mobile developers to bring ideas to life? We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building backend systems that power user-facing features. In this role, you’ll work on designing and implementing backend services that directly support our AI-driven products, ensuring seamless integration with front-end and mobile platforms. Your work will help shape the user experience for millions of people worldwide.

This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States. We also have co-working spaces in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, front-end engineers, and mobile developers to design and implement backend services that meet product requirements.
Develop User-Focused Features: Build and maintain backend systems that power user-facing features, ensuring a seamless experience across platforms.
Support Front-End Integration: Ensure smooth communication between backend services and front-end/mobile applications.
Debug and Optimize Systems: Debug live production issues, write tests to prevent future issues, and optimize backend performance for user-facing services.
Iterate on Product Features: Rapidly prototype and refine backend systems based on user feedback and product requirements.
Contribute to Team Culture: Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, emphasizing strong coding practices and thorough code reviews.
