We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Developer to help optimize and secure our AWS cloud infrastructure, enhancing automation, scalability, and performance. Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Security and Compliance:
• Implement AWS CloudTrail for secure audit logging, with logs stored in a dedicated account.
• Set up AWS Config to track configuration changes, providing easy rollback for enhanced compliance.
• Database and Network Security:
• Reconfigure RDS PostgreSQL to private access, limiting exposure to authorized internal services.
• Introduce Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic) for enhanced observability and troubleshooting.
• API Security and Optimization:
• Secure API endpoints behind a Content Delivery Network (CDN) with WAF protection, safeguarding against DDoS and brute-force attacks.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Implement and manage IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation to automate and version-control infrastructure deployments.
• Integrate IaC into CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistency across staging and production environments.
• Deployment Strategy:
• Set up canary deployments to gradually release updates to a portion of users, minimizing risk in production.
• Build CI/CD pipelines to streamline and automate the deployment process, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Multi-Account Management:
• Establish separate AWS accounts for production, testing, and logging to increase security and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automating infrastructure tasks.
• Understanding of monitoring and alerting for high-availability applications.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in AWS services, with expertise in CloudTrail, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, and multi-account setups.
• Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and experience integrating IaC into CI/CD processes.
• Proficiency with APM tools (Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace) to ensure high application performance.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and experience with VPNs, IAM, and CDN/WAF configurations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for automating deployments.

50,000 - 100,000 usd / year depending on experience. Quarterly cash bonus + equity compensation
