Udacity is looking for a passionate and experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on advancing AI-driven translations for the Japanese market. You'll leverage modern technologies and innovative AI tools, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the learner experience for our global user base.
This role is ideal for engineers who genuinely love building impactful products and thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable translation tools leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies.
• Build seamless frontend experiences using React, optimized for clarity and usability in the Japanese context.
• Design and implement reliable backend services using Go or Node.js, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, AI researchers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver exceptional localization solutions.
• Continuously explore, test, and adopt advanced AI development tools like Cursor,
  Claude Code, or similar technologies to accelerate product development and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in Japanese and English.
• Strong fullstack engineering skills, specifically React and Go/Node.js.
• Substantial experience with AI tools and frameworks (Cursor, Claude Code).
• Passionate about creating user-centric solutions tailored to the Japanese market.
• A self-driven learner with a love for innovative technologies and building impactful products.

Preferred:

• Prior experience working on localization or internationalization projects, particularly related to the Japanese market.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Location: While this is a remote role, applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States of America on a full-time basis.

Compensation: The maximum base pay for this position is $160,000, depending on experience and location.
