Senior Machine Learning Engineer

• Act as a technical lead within the data team to advance our recommendation & search algorithms, focusing on improving inventory impressions relevance & quality.
• Develop proprietary AI/ML solutions reflecting unique marketplace dynamics of peer-to-peer exchange.
• Identify business problems suitable for data solutions and manage model development phases.
• Establish best practices for data model training, development, and maintenance.
• Deploy trained models into production ensuring reliable deployment into Snowflake.
• Mine user data for personalization improvements and track related KPIs.
• Develop and maintain data models to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Create ML models using Python and structure resulting data for consumption.
• Develop user-to-user mapping capabilities to enhance personalization.
• Utilize search technologies to enhance product discovery and personalization.
• Analyze message content to detect fraudulent activities.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.

• Graduate degree in data science, analytics, mathematics, machine learning, computer science, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of work experience in data or quantitative role, with success in startups, high-growth, or fast-paced organizations.
• Experience in marketplace, e-commerce, or fashion/retail domains preferred.
• Experience in web + app product environments preferred.
• Demonstrated success in nontechnical, crossfunctional communication.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to various audiences.
• History of mentoring or developing teammates.
• Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, and complex mathematical concepts related to recommendation engines.
• Experience with Looker, Amplitude, DBT, Fivetran, and AWS Lambdas preferred.
• Proven expertise in advanced statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
• Expert level proficiency in Python for data manipulation and model development.
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings for tasks like user-to-user mapping preferred.
• Experience with Snowflake for SQL and data warehousing preferred.
• Experience with DBT and Git for data transformations and collaborative coding preferred.
• Experience in designing and deploying Personalization and Recommendation products at scale.
• Experience in NLP and time-series forecasts for market trends preferred.

Pay range: $134K - $197K
