- Provide strategic and technical leadership to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Develop and communicate the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in software development.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects and operations.
- Define and maintain the technology stack and software/hardware architecture.
- Oversee data collection, warehousing, analytics, and visualization initiatives.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of engineers.
- Collaborate with other functional leaders to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts.
- Define talent acquisition strategies and lead recruitment efforts.
- Establish, track, and report on KPIs related to data quality, system efficiency, and user engagement.
Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within an engineering organization.
- Strong technical background in software development processes, methodologies, and tools within eCommerce.
- 7+ years of experience in managing and scaling engineering teams, including remote teams.
- Experience in product development in a fast-paced technology-driven environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strategic mindset with ability to think long-term and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Experience with open source software development languages & frameworks like React, JavaScript, mysql, nginx/php web server development, Redis, Scala.
- Experience with Magento/Adobe Commerce is desirable.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Experience building mobile apps with iOS, Android; Flutter experience desirable.
- Expertise in building highly scalable and transactional customer-facing applications.
Salary and Perks
Pay range: $220K - $240K
