metergrid is an innovative energy start-up that has been passionately working since 2021 to help achieve the 1.5-degree climate target for 44 million people living in multi-family buildings in Germany.

With tailored tenant electricity (Mieterstrom) solutions, we enable owners of multi-tenant residential and commercial properties to offer their tenants clean, locally generated solar power. Our end-to-end services — from profitability analysis and project implementation to billing software and hardware solutions — combine climate protection with lower energy costs and attractive returns for property owners and system operators. Your Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle sales ownership: You are responsible for the entire sales process — from lead generation and qualification through demos and pitches to successful deal closure.
  • Customer acquisition & development: You identify new business opportunities, build long-term customer relationships, and strategically grow existing accounts.
  • Consultative selling: You understand your customers’ challenges, analyze their requirements, and develop tailored solutions in the areas of tenant electricity and SaaS.
  • Closing: You confidently manage complex decision-making processes, negotiate at C-level, and bring deals to a close.
  • Market & industry expertise: You stay informed about trends, competitors, and regulatory frameworks and use this knowledge to shape your sales strategy.
  • Team impact: You contribute best practices to the sales team and help continuously improve our processes and playbooks.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in full-cycle sales, ideally in SaaS, EnergyTech, or the enterprise segment.
  • Proven success in hunting and closing complex products or solutions.
  • Initial experience in the energy sector or with tenant electricity projects is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to present complex topics in a clear and understandable way.
  • Goal-oriented, self-driven, and motivated to actively shape processes and results.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both German and English.
