Senior Manager, Professional Services Technical Architect

• Oversee the AMER Professional Services Technical Architecture practice across presales and delivery.
• Manage a team of Technical Architects focusing on platform, AI, and security-related engagements.
• Coach architects to develop as credible advisors with technical judgment and consultative communication.
• Partner on complex presales with Engagement Managers for estimation and technical risk assessment.
• Participate in strategic customer conversations to enhance credibility and delivery success.
• Guide team in delivering new GitLab capabilities and shaping emerging offerings in customer environments.
• Develop reusable templates and architecture guidance from strategic engagements.
• Represent the Technical Architecture practice in management discussions.

• Proven experience managing senior technical professionals in a services or consulting environment.
• Expertise in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, infrastructure, or software development.
• Experience in consultative engagements linking technical work to customer value outcomes.
• Experience in technically complex presales work, including discovery and risk assessment.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-changing environments with evolving priorities.
• Experience developing repeatable delivery methods like playbooks and architecture patterns.
• Experience facilitating executive-level customer conversations and aligning cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with GitLab domains such as AI-powered workflows, security, or DevSecOps is helpful.

Pay range: $171K - $288K
