Nava is at the forefront of reimagining how our government serves its people, and we’re looking for a Senior Recruiter to help us grow our team.

You’ll work closely with our Director of Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and various Navacados to shepard candidates through our process from first touch to close.

You’re an empathetic, detail-oriented doer who has a keen eye for bias and a deep commitment to inclusion and diversity. You put candidates at the center, ensuring that they have a positive experience.

What you’ll do

  • Shepherd candidates through the process from first touch to close
  • Source and identify candidates with a focus on bringing in more candidates from underrepresented backgrounds
  • Build job descriptions and processes from the ground up with hiring managers, with a keen eye for removing potential biases
  • Collect data on our hiring processes and candidates to identify any gaps, especially as it relates to inclusive hiring or process inefficiencies
  • Share updates and pipeline metrics regularly with leadership and the company


  • A deep understanding and demonstrated experience in inclusion and diversity initiatives
  • Experience working with hiring managers to craft a role from the ground up, including creating job descriptions and unbiased processes, questions, and rubrics
  • Experience leading candidates through the hiring process, from first touch to close
  • Experience with sourcing, identifying, and sending cold-reach outs to candidates
  • Experience at a small to medium sized company
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • An adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset
  • Highly resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

About Nava:

We’re a team of engineers, designers, and product builders that were brought in to help fix in the winter of 2013. Today, we’re working with the Department of Veterans Affairs and Medicare as well as continuing our work on We’re now the first public benefit corporation to be a prime contractor, and we’re expanding our efforts to help other state and federal agencies modernize their services. There’s a lot to do, and we’re just getting started.
