Small Business Web Dev Project Manager w/ Marketing Experience

We are a WordPress website development agency that handles websites, hosting, and support. We are looking for someone to manage website projects. Web developers tend to speak a different language than clients. We need someone with the communication skills to bridge the gap by speaking to clients in a digestible manner as well as translating client requests into actionable tasks for developers.

Your job will be to manage new website projects from the start to the finish line. We are also looking for help with our hourly support, where you'll take and manage support tickets from clients for web dev work.  This role takes someone who doesn't mind jumping from one task to another and one client to another regularly.

We are looking for a long-term relationship with someone interested in transitioning to at least part-time, if not full-time, employment in the near future. We would be happy to transition you to an employee after a 90-day trial period.

The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys and prefers the freedom/lifestyle of a 100% remote position, but who also would like an ongoing, long-term employment with our small team. We want someone who will become part of the team. A great candidate would be someone who has been trying out freelancing, perhaps doesn't love the instability of it, and wants to return to employment with a company that provides the flexibility you had with freelancing plus the benefits of a W2'd employee in the near future.

We need a website project manager who can:

  • Translate client feedback into actionable tasks that our web developer can understand.
  • Translate web development requirements into requests that clients understand and will respond to.
  • Advise and guide clients through the process of re-designing their website from a marketing and web dev perspective.
  • Conduct client review meetings to go over project progress.
  • Keep the website project on-budget.
  • Keep the client and project in scope, with the ability to delicately handle out-of-scope conversations with the client.

Your goal will be to: deliver new WordPress websites on-time and on-budget to a happy client.

We build excellent websites, and we are looking for a way to grow while maintaining our quality of work and reputation. Your role will help us contribute to that growth.

This position is 100% remote. Here are some other logistics requirements:

  • Native English speaker. You will be on calls, including video conferences, with clients.
  • U.S. citizen or legally able to work in the U.S. Feel free to travel and work from anywhere you'd like, but we want you to be legally employable by a U.S.-based company so that we can employ you as a W2'd employee in the near future.
  • US business hours, coast to coast, in order to schedule and communicate with clients. It doesn't matter what time zone you geographically live in; it just matters that you make yourself available during US business hours.
