  • Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Serve as the company’s Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer and the primary point of contact for customers’ compliance teams.
  • Lead the response to customer compliance audits and any resulting remediations.
  • Advise internal teams on best monitoring and escalation processes; conduct internal audits as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance and develop training on compliance-related matters, including HIPAA, fraud and abuse, and workplace harassment.
  • Ensure compliance with multiple state employment laws and relevant classifications.
  • Handle privacy compliance and review arrangements impacting flows of PHI or PII.
  • Lead investigation and remediation of compliance or privacy breaches.
  • Establish systems for monitoring changes in healthcare laws and regulations and update policies.
  • Provide thought leadership on gap areas and their remediation.
  • Build processes and drive technology adoption to ensure scalability of the compliance function.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance concerns and integrate compliance into business strategies.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and manage relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Report compliance program updates and risks to senior leadership and the board of directors.

Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare administration, law, business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive professional experience, including 3+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA and fraud and abuse laws.
  • Significant experience in cross-functional roles interfacing with internal and external teams on complex projects.
  • Experience building compliance programs and conducting audits, risk assessments, and internal investigations.

Salary and Perks

Pay range: $180K - $210K
